NOFAR YACOBI brings a brilliant presence to the stage with her unique voice colour and acting skills. She is one of the selected concert artists of the prestigious Rebanks Family Fellowship & International Performance Residency at the Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory in Toronto.

Her recent debut with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Frédéric Chaslin was broadcast live on the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation Radio. Earlier, she also made her United States debut under the baton of Steven Smith with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra in a solo gala concert.

 

Nofar recorded the Hebrew version for Disney Pictures live movie Beauty and the Beast (click here to listen). She performed with the Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra, the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra, the Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra, the Ferrara Conservatory Orchestra, the Revolution Orchestra, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and the Academy Chamber Orchestra.

Her operatic repertoire includes the roles of Queen of the Night (Mozart), Zerbinetta (Strauss)Gilda (Verdi), Oscar (Verdi), Despina (Mozart) and more. Her wide repertoire varies from baroque, classical and romantic to contemporary music, and includes not only classical music, but also musical theatre and popular culture music. Nofar sings in many languages, including Italian, Hebrew, German, French, Russian, English, Latin and more.

Nofar Yacobi is a former member of the Israeli Opera Meitar Studio and of the Calgary Opera Emerging Artist Program. She graduated from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at the Tel-Aviv University. She received scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, the Buchman-Mehta School of Music, the Eli Leon Fund, and sponsorships from the Sir Jack Lyons Charitable Trust and the Azrieli Foundation.

THE VIRAL QUEEN

Nofar's parody Queen of the Chocolate became viral.

Story: Based on an violent event on an aircraft, in which a few passengers got angry because the flight attendant couldn't sell them chocolate on the flight.

Result: We took the "lyrics" of the original fight (which was recorded) and applied them on one of the most demanding and famous arias for soprano - The Queen of the Night aria (Mozart) .
